Death and Decay

There’s none can know the reason why
that man is born so he can die.
Is life just heaven’s dumping ground
where all its defects can be found?

Our fate determined by our birth,
the reason why we’re here on Earth.
Impossible to reason why
that every living thing must die.

To quell our fears of what’s in store
we conjure tales that there is more
and death is really not the end
but is indeed a welcome friend.

These places from the minds of man,
is that where Heaven and Hell began.
A God that’s there to welcome all
when death arrives to make its call.

Was Hell the balance that man made
to make some sense of living’s plague.
To give some purpose to this life
and justify our toil and strife.

There’s none can know the reason why
that man is born so he can die.
No matter how we pave the way
our birth decrees.…  death and decay.
